Pam Estrada

Eufemia “Pam” Estrada, 66, of New Home passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 in Tahoka surrounded by her family.

Pam was born on October 23, 1956 in Brazos County, Texas to Urbano Estrada, Jr. and Maria Francisca Martinez.  She was raised in Bryan and on the farm in New Home and graduated from New Home High School in 1975.  She had worked at University Medical Center, Grace Clinic, Ashley’s Furniture and Lubbock Cooper Middle School as a custodian, in maintenance and transportation, and food prep service.  She was very simple and blunt, but had a servant’s heart and was always taking care of someone.  She made everyone feel loved and welcomed, and she never met a stranger.  She was a kid at heart collecting many things including Looney Tunes. But she was always giving her things away to others.   She loved shopping with her sister, Janie, visiting with friends and family, calling them and texting, and eating her Christmas tree snacks and having a cold Dr. Pepper.  She enjoyed the many friends she had in her workplaces, especially at Lubbock Cooper Middle School.  She was a member of Saint Jude Catholic Church in Tahoka.

Pam is survived by her two sisters, Janie and Daniel Montelongo of Tahoka and Virginia Zuniga of Lubbock, 1 brother, Robert and Cheryl Estrada of Slaton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Urbano and Maria Estrada, and two sisters, Maria Contreras and Victoria Morin.

Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Monday, November 21, 2022 at Combest Family Funeral Home in Tahoka, 1821 Main Street, with Rosary services being recited at 6:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 1829 South Fourth Street, in Tahoka.  Interment will follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery in Tahoka.  Please visit www.combestfamilyfuneralhomes.com for obituary information and service details.
