Rhonda Reid Ledbetter

March 13, 1947 — August 6, 2022

Tahoka and Lubbock

Rhonda Reid Ledbetter, 75, of Lubbock, was lifted into Heaven by her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Rhonda was born on March 13, 1947, in Lubbock, to the late Walthal and Jonnie (McClintock) Littlepage of Tahoka.

Rhonda married her Tahoka High School Sweetheart, Mike Reid, February 04, 1966. They raised two daughters, Alecia Rene and Rochelle Lea. Many memories were made as a family as well as with a plethora of friends traveling from Ag farms to show barns.  Mike preceded her in death in March of 1982. Rhonda later married Norman Ledbetter of Borden County, July 12, 1992. Not only did they grow cotton, they also grew a family; blood related and beyond. Norman preceded her in death December of 2012.

Rhonda was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Tahoka. She not only attended FBC Tahoka for many years, but also served on various committees, the prayer team, as well as any time the kitchen was open.

Rhonda was a loving wife, mother, Meme, and friend. The devotion to her family was immeasurable and unmatched. She thrived on being able to serve others, whether it be by feeding them a home cooked meal, baking them her infamous “Baby Food Cake”, going to get a “Coke”, or simply lending a listening ear. She loved to shop, especially through QVC. She was a gift giver by nature, but the best gift she gave to everyone around her was the love she showed and shared.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughters, Alecia Reid Hancock and husband Eddie Joe Hancock, Rochelle Reid Ford and husband Chad Ford; her four grandchildren, Blandon Hancock and wife Kelsey Hancock, Ashdon Hancock and Fiancé Josh Deleon, Taylor Clair and husband Garrett Clair, and Tori Ford; her five great-grandchildren, Bransen Hancock, Briley Hancock, Gunner Clair, Braxtyn Hancock, and Deklyn Clair; one sister-in-law, Denise Ellington and husband Bari Ellington; and a host of cousins, classmates, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 10 2022, at First Baptist Church Tahoka. Pastor Richard Harbison and family friend, Jimmy Howard, will be the officiants. Graveside services will follow immediately in the Tahoka Cemetery under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.

Family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the burial.
