Louise Marie McGlaun, 81, of Plainview passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. She was born on November 12, 1936 in Shallowater, Texas to Normal and Annie Bell (Blackwell) Moore. Louise attended Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her associated degree in 1964, and began her career as a registered nurse in West Texas. She was a dedicated, caring nurse, who often traveled with work, and loved seeing new places. Louise married Bill McGlaun on April 15, 2005 in Wolfforth. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bill; children, Loretta Compton and husband, Gary, Linda Harkey and husband, Eric, Holly Calhoun and husband, Brent, Buddy Turner, and Craig McGlaun; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held at 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Combest Family Funeral Homes. A graveside service will follow on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Seagraves Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Kindred Hospice and the staff at Prairie House Living Center, Plainview.
