Armondo Salazar of Lubbock passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 56. He was born June 2, 1962 in Yoakum, Texas to Eugene and Simona (Medina) Salazar. Armondo attended Frenship High School. He owned his own construction company where he remodeled homes. He was an avid Texas Tech Athletic fan and wonderful cook. However, his greatest passion was his grandbabies.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melinda Barron; children, Debbie Davila, Rachael Lopez and husband Rudy Soliz, Mona Salazar, Robert Lopez, Jr. and wife Cindy, Joshua Salazar and wife Eddika, and J. J. Salazar and wife Tina; brothers, Tony Salazar, Amador Salazar, and David Salazar; sisters, Guadalupe Alonzo, Mary Keagy, and Isabelle Torres; 18 grandbabies; and three great-grandbabies; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard; brothers, Fernando, Felix, and Johnny Salazar; and one granddaughter, Divyne Soliz.

A rosary will be cited at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
