Aaron Michael Gonzalez

May 29, 1990 — May 15, 2026

Lubbock, Texas

Aaron Micheal Gonzalez, 35, a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.

He was born on May 29, 1990, in Lubbock, Texas. Aaron attended elementary school, middle school, and high school in Lubbock, graduating from Lubbock High School in 2008. During middle school and high school, Aaron was a member of the competitive swimming team, where he met many of his lifelong friends.

Aaron was an incredibly curious person who was always pursuing new hobbies. Throughout his life, he was passionate about swimming, playing the piano and guitar, reading, 3D printing, video games of all kinds, disc golf, and billiards. His adventurous spirit drove him to travel, try new foods, and seek out new experiences. He was outspoken, intelligent, and deeply curious — always eager to learn and share about different topics and engage in meaningful conversations (which often turned into spirited debates). Being around him meant never running out of things to talk about.

He also loved music, movies, and TV shows, and frequently sharing recommendations with family and friends. As a child, he collected Power Rangers action figures, a collection he treasured so much that he held onto it into adulthood. He especially enjoyed using his 3D printer to create thoughtful gifts for family and friends. His laughter was unforgettable and filled the hearts of those around him.

Aaron lived most of his life in Lubbock, with a short time in Waco and several years in Austin before returning to Lubbock in 2020 to be closer to family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nicolas Gonzalez Sr.

He is survived and will be missed by his parents, Nicolas and Rebecca Gonzalez Jr.; his brother, Nicolas Gonzalez III; nieces, Dominique, Marissa, Alyssa, and Jordyn Gonzalez; nephew, Nicolas Gonzalez IV; pup, Autumn Gonzalez; and grandparents, Celia Gonzalez and Joe and Linda Gutierrez

Aaron will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten. We will cherish our special memories with him, and his influence on our lives will last forever.
