Adam Aguirre, Sr., 71, of Lubbock, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 5, 2025. Mr. Aguirre was born on May 14, 1954, in Lubbock, to the late Juan Aguirre and Maria Ignacia (Gill) Aguirre.
He attended and graduated from Abernathy High School.
Adam was a hard worker, a family man, and one who loved to play games like dominos and skippo. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49’ers. Adam worked at ADM Southern Oil Cotton for over 30 years, before retiring in the early 2000’s. He was raised in the Catholic faith.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his wife, Estefana of Lubbock; three sons: Adam Aguirre, Jr. and his wife Martha of Lubbock, Alex Aguirre and his wife Linda of Lubbock and Brandon Aguirre of Lubbock; two brothers: Tony Aguirre and his wife Sally of Hale Center and Santos Aguirre of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters: Lydia Hernandez and husband Frank of Denver City and Lucia Garcia and husband Arnulfo of Abernathy; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Rosa Palacios; his twin sister Eva Aguirre; a sister, Frances Perez; a brother, Johnny Joe Aguirre; a sister-in-law, Janie Aguirre; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Lila.
Visitation for Mr. Aguirre, Sr. will be from 10:30 AM until 1:45 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, next door to Combest Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Fabian Davila officiating. Funeral services and cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home.
