Alfred Lopez, born on July 15, 1957, in Rotan, Texas, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, strength, and love. Alfred’s greatest honor and proudest achievement was serving his country in the United States Army, where he embodied courage and dedication as a veteran.
Alfred’s trade was Master Plumber but he was known as a jack of all trades, Alfred had the remarkable ability to fix just about anything—except, as he often said with a smile, “a broken heart and the crack of dawn.” His sharp skills, quick wit, and unwavering resilience made him the man his family and friends could always count on.
Alfred’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him for his humor, wisdom, and the pride he took in both his family and his service to his country.
Alfred is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer Field of Lubbock, TX, Krystal Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX, and Dayna Lopez of Wolfforth, TX. His grandchildren include: Christian Lester, Madyson Builtron, Jessica Lester, Abbigail Dominguez, Alexis Santellan, Natalie Santellan, and Alyssa Rodriguez, and his newest addition a great-grandson, Jaxon Builtron.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, at 3 PM at Combest Memorial Chapel.
