Alton Jerome Hall

June 20, 1937 — September 19, 2025

Lubbock

The life of Alton Jerome Hall was a masterpiece of joy, love, and quiet determination. On September 19, 2025, Alton, 88, completed his final chapter, leaving behind a legacy as warm and inviting as the meticulously refinished furniture he loved to restore.

Born on June 20, 1937, in Slaton Texas, to FW Hall and Dessie Mae Brewer, A proud American, he served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1960, he found his true love and lifelong partner, Linda Gail Sanders, and together they started their adventure in Plainview, Texas.

For 36 years, Alton brought his kind spirit and friendly smile to his role as a sales representative for Kraft Foods, a career from which he retired in 1992. His retirement was filled with the simple pleasures he cherished: getting lost in the pages of a good book, tending to his vibrant yard, and breathing new life into forgotten antiques.

Alton is survived by his beloved daughters, Kecia Nix and Alyssa Griffith, who will carry on his legacy of kindness and grace. He also leaves behind two son-in-laws Stacy Nix, Jeff Griffith, four cherished grandchildren, Caleb Griffith, Seth Griffith, Brooklyn Jimenez, Campbell Nix and two adored great grandchildren Dylan and Luke Griffith.

He is reunited in a heavenly embrace with his wife Linda. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Dessie Mae Brewer, his stepfather, George W. White. And his brother Gyron White.

Alton’s life was a testament to the beauty found in hard work, a loving family, and the simple act of making something old new again. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A private family celebration of life has been held.
