It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Mireles, who said goodbye to us on  April 2nd, 2025 at the age of 55.

A truck driver by profession, Anna was known for her larger-than-life presence on the road and in the hearts of those who knew her. A true adventurer, she spent years behind the wheel, traveling far and wide, always with a story to tell and a smile on her face. Though she spent most of her days driving across the country, her real calling was the gift of laughter. Her wit and humor were unmatched, and many will agree she missed her true calling as a comedian. Her jokes, quick comebacks, and ability to make anyone laugh will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

But beyond her humor, she was a woman with an open heart and an open door. No one was ever turned away from her home, whether they needed a meal, a safe space, or just someone to listen. She had the ability to make people feel loved and accepted, no matter the circumstances.

A fighter through and through, she faced life's challenges with unmatched courage and strength. She never backed down from a fight. She was always brave, always standing tall for those she loved, and always pushing forward with resilience and determination.

Most of all, she was a devoted mother who gave everything for her family. She was incredibly proud of her sons, and her love knew no limits. Her legacy will live on in their hearts.

Anna is survived by her sons Jonathan Mireles (Bridget) and Vincent Mireles, grandchildren Gavin Chavez and Talyn Chavez. Sister Lucy Witham (Kevin), and Aleta Mireles. Brothers, Ted Mireles, Jr. (Janie), Stanley Mireles (Yolanda), Simon Mireles, and Anthony Mireles.

Her cherished companion, Larry Castillo, was a constant source of care and support, standing by her side through thick and thin, and showing love and compassion when she needed it most. Her loyal guard-dog, Apollo, was never far from her side, bringing her comfort and joy throughout the years.

She was the beloved cool aunt to many nieces and nephews, always bringing laughter, love, and a sense of adventure to their lives.

Anna is now reunited with her parents, Consuelo and Teodoro Mireles, her sisters Virginia, Alice, and Carmen, and her cherished niece, Sarah Witham.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Redbud Dialysis home therapy nurses who cared for her with kindness, compassion, and dedication over the years. We also sincerely thank her surgeon Dr. Alejandro Mejia and his nurse Lizzy for making her pancreatic cancer-free, restoring her hope, and inspiring her to live with renewed strength and courage.

Her presence will be missed beyond words, but take comfort in knowing she will continue to guide us with the laughter, love, and strength she shared with all of us.
