Anna Maria Ramon, 87, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, February 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1938, in San Isidro, COA, Mexico, to the late Pedro Almaguer and Josefa (Chapa) Almaguer.
She met the love of her life, Agapito Ramon, and they married on November 26, 1955, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Slaton, Texas. Mr. Ramon preceded her in death on May 29, 1996.
She worked as a hairdresser and cosmetologist for 45 years, and had her own beauty shop, Anna’s Beauty Shop, for many years, before retiring on 2005. She loved to buy and flip houses, dancing and traveling. She traveled all over the United States and in Mexico and loved to go on cruises.
She and Agapito were one of five founding members of the San Ramon Catholic Church in Woodrow, and Agapito served as the first President of the church. As of late, she was a member of Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church.
Those left to honor and cherish her memories include her four children: Sylvia Fabila and husband Max of Lubbock, Carlos Ramon and wife Helen of Woodrow, Rudy Ramon of Lubbock and Sonia Herrera and husband Rickey of Lubbock; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers: Eusbio Almaejuer, Guadalupe Almaguer, Vincente Almaguer and Raymundo Almaguer; one sister, Connie Vasqea.
Visitation for Mrs. Ramon will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, next to Combest Family Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6 PM that evening. Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at San Ramon Catholic Church in Woodrow, with Father Robert Williams as the Celebrant. Final rites and interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
The pallbearers will be Christian Herrera, Gregorio Andazola, Eric Oliva, Adam Oliva, Jay Fabile and Andrew Ramon.
