Anna Ruiz

Anna Ruiz, 63, of Lubbock, unexpectedly went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday night, June 8, 2022. Anna was born in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, on January 26, 1959, to the late Francisco and Consuelo (Ortiz) Hernandez.

Anna attended high school in Muleshoe, graduating in 1978. She married the love of her life, Armando Ruiz, on August 1, 1980, in Muleshoe. She attended South Plains College, graduating in 1980 with an Associates Degree in Marketing. She worked for UPS in Lubbock for 34 years, before retiring in 2019 as a UPS employee. Anna was very family oriented, loved her grandchildren and taking care of her indoor plants, as well as going shopping. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Armando; two sons, Kelby Ruiz and his fiancé Gabie of Round Rock and Kyle Ruiz and his wife Christine of Austin; two sisters, Linda Pollock of Salinas, California and Yvette Rodriguez and her husband Dan of Lubbock; two adored grandchildren, Olivia and Collin Ruiz. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 17, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Deacon Joe Martinez, of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant for the memorial service. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
