Aree Brown

Aree Brown, age 68, of Lubbock, TX passed from this life on February 2nd, 2022 at 1:30 AM surrounded by her family. Aree was born July 22nd, 1953 in Bangkok, Thailand to Aloon (Muksuksee) Koompook (mother) and Morngorn Koompook (father). Aree is the wife of Samuel Brown of Lubbock, TX. Aree and Sam met in Bangkok, Thailand in 1974. They married in Shatahip, Thailand on July 30th, 1975. Together they have three children, Maree Pricer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Laura Bristow of Levelland, TX and Samuel Brown Jr. of Lubbock, TX. Aree was both wife and mother, avid gardener, expert cook, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of more that 46 years to Sam, son Samuel Jr., daughter Maree and son-in-law Josh Pricer, daughter Laura and son-in-law Benjamin, sisters Prakob and husband Dale Kirtley, Yupin and Deisel McLain, Bongua Lee, Somsuk Koompook and brother Jip Koompook and her five grandchildren Justin Brown of Lubbock, TX and Kerstin Pricer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jay, Bryan and Lydia Bristow of Levelland, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother Aloon, father Mongon and sister Ju Koompook. She loved her grandchildren and loved when they visited her, she loved her xenia, chrysanthemum and sunflower gardens. She also loved to cook home made Thai food for her family. She was an avid shopper and collector and loved her rock music. Her greatest love is her husband Sam and the time they spent together.
