Aurora Perez Venegas

Aurora Perez Venegas (85) passed away January 1, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 22, 1940, to Grafido and Paula (Francisco) Venegas, in Ojinaga, Mexico. Aurora married Juan Francesco Perez on September 1, 1961. To this union, they had 3 boys, Ricardo, Alfredo, and Lionel.

Aurora was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Francisco Perez, her parents, Grafido and Paula Venegas, and her siblings, Marcelino Venegas, Maria Socorro Gonzales, Gliberto Venegas, Guadalupe Venegas, and Elijio Venegas. Those remaining to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy are her sons, Ricardo Perez, Alfredo (Billie Jo) Perez, and Lionel (Jo Ann) Perez, all of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

The family of Aurora Venegas De Perez will honor and celebrate her life with a visitation (from 2:00pm – 8:00pm) and Rosary (6:00pm) on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway St. A funeral Mass will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1120 52nd street Lubbock, with Deacon Joe Martinez officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family funeral homes and crematory.
