Barbara Edwards

Barbara "Susie" Edwards, age 73, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022 at home with family by her side. She was born in Elk City, OK on July 21, 1948 to Charles Basil Sherrill and Marjoree Coller Sherrill. Susie lived most of her younger years in Texas and New Mexico before finally settling in Lubbock in 1966. Susie's talents were many, she was an avid reader and seamstress. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and always said her greatest joy in life was being able to love on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susie had the comfort of spending her final days at home with family and friends.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marjoree; two sets of twins, William Charles and Wanda Cheryl, and Jerry Shane and Tammy Elaine; as well as several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Jesse Harm Edwards; daughters, Christy Stith and Jeanette Hamilton; son, Cody Robbins; granddaughters, Amanda, Ariel, Angela, Autumn, Aryiah, and Karissa; and grandsons, Austin and Kaleb; 2 great granddaughters; 3 great grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Emerge Church, 8501 Ave P, Lubbock, TX.
