Billy Cain

BILLY EARL CAIN, 79, of Rockwall, TX departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born on March 13, 1943 to Alvin Cain and Lena Evelyn (Cain) Thompson in Tahoka, Texas. Billy was a 1961 graduate of Tahoka High School. Following graduation, Billy served in the U.S. Army for several years. He married his high school sweetheart, Rita Sue Renfro in December 1961. After his military service, Bill and Sue made their home in Dumas, TX where they lived for 50 years. Bill worked for Diamond Shamrock for 40 years as an assistant operator at the ALKY/PDA unit. Bill never met a stranger and loved talking about his kids and grandkids. He loved traveling and taking his grandkids to Red River, NM and Palo Duro Canyon. You could often find him sharing popcorn and hershey kisses with the family and distracting everyone during the dinner prayer with his infectious laugh :). Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rita Sue Cain of Rockwall, TX; children, Keith (Amber) Cain of Waxahachie, TX, Karla Bechtel of Claremore OK, and Kacey (Terri) Cain of Rockwall, TX; 9 grandchildren, Savannah (Casey) Tucker, Amanda Cain, Colton (Madeline) Cain, Joshua (Jessi) Bechtel, Jacob Bechtel, Joseph Bechtel, Katie Bechtel, Caleb Cain, and Mattie Cain; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Mable Morgan; and his sister, Jeanette Roseberry; The family invites you to join them for visitation Saturday, November 12th from 10:00-12:00 at Combest Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX; graveside services will follow at 2:00 in Tahoka.
