Blane Gass

July 9, 1957 — October 23, 2025

O'Donnell

Blane Gass, born July 9, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas, to Joyle Edward Gass and Jimmie Dean Fultz, passed away on October 23, 2025.

Blane loved a life defined by purpose, hard work, and devotion to those he loved. He found great joy in traveling with his brother, Lanny, and together they built more than just buildings, they built hospitals, schools, and libraries that continue to serve their communities. His craftmanship and dedication left a lasting mark wherever he went.

A true family man, Blane always found his way back home to O’Donnell to care for his parents and look after his brothers, Blake and Lanny. He cherished those moments of connection, laughter, and love. His loyalty and generosity were constants in the lives of all who knew him.

Blane loved the simple pleasures, hunting, rodeos, western movies, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Though humble in spirit, his life was extraordinary, filled with purpose, love and integrity.

Blane is survived by the Gass and Fultz family and a wide circle of extended family and friends who were blessed by his kindness, humor, and steadfast heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyle and Jimmie Gass, and his brothers, Blake and Lanny Gass.

Blane’s legacy lives on in the love he shared and the lives he built, both literally and figuratively. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
