Bobby Joe Pitman

Bobby Joe Pitman of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born March 26, 1935, in Denison, Texas to Fred and Lucille (Hainline) Pitman. He grew up in Denison, graduating from Denison High School. There he met and married his high school sweetheart, Yvonne Taylor. The couple married on February 12, 1954. 

Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army where he served two terms. He founded Service Air, Inc. in 1971, retiring in 1993. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his grandson, Seth Pitman and daughter-in-law, Connie Pitman, both of Lubbock. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Von in 1997; sister, Nelda Tomlinson; and son, Kraig Pitman, in April of 2024.
