Bonnie Lea Blair

Bonnie Lea Blair passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 25, 1948, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Odessa Elaine Napper and Thomas Brady Freeze.

Bonnie devoted her life to her family. After marrying the love of her life, Leonard Glen Blair, on April 8, 1966, she embraced her role as a homemaker, building a home filled with warmth, creativity, and care. She found happiness in simplicity and in caring for those around her. She was often found tending her garden, helping her children with school, sewing their costumes, spending time at home, baking, and decorating cakes for her loved ones.

Bonnie’s gentle spirit extended to all living creatures. She had a deep love for animals and shared her home with many beloved pets over the years, her favorite of all being their outdoor cats and turtles.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was an important and foundational part of her life. Bonnie was a faithful member of the Wickett Church of Christ in Wickett, Texas, and later the Hub City Church of Christ in Lubbock.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Leonard Glen Blair; her daughter, Tammy Swift, and husband Doug Swift; her son, Brian Blair, and wife Alisha Blair; her brother, Willard Freeze, and wife Bonnie Freeze; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary Sedino, and wife Haley Sedino, Joshua Blair, Grace Blair, and Zoe Swift; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Grayson Sedino, Skyla Sedino, and Asher Sedino. She also leaves behind many friends, and other family members whom she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Combest Family Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas 79401. Burial will take place at Monahan’s Memorial Cemetery in Monahans, Texas, at a later date.

Bonnie will be remembered most of all by her love for the Lord, devotion towards her family, generosity, sense of humor, love of music, and ultimately her commitment to her faith. She will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
