Byron Henderson

Byron Lee Henderson, 78, of Lubbock passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born November 21, 1946 in Santa Anna, Texas to Bobbie Lee Henderson and Rita Loree Campbell. He spent most of his life in West and North Texas. He held professions as teacher, cotton ginner, advertising representative, and apartment manager. He greatly enjoyed sports, especially football and horse racing as well as dancing and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his son, Sonny with his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Brytini, Jax, and Rachel; and great-grandchildren, Jenna, Blaze, Aryzona, David, Marina, Aurora and Alex; brother, Kevin Meeks and wife Linda; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Vermilion; and a brother, Steve Meeks.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at The Lubbock Dream Center, 1111 30th Street in Lubbock.
