Carol Ann Lumpkins

Carol Ann Lumpkins, age 82, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Lubbock. Carol was born on January 3, 1943, in Farmington, New Mexico, to Thelma Dean (Daniels) Liles and Roy Emett Liles. She grew up with a strong work ethic and a caring spirit that remained with her throughout her life. Carol worked as a Loan Assistant for American State Bank, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring in 2008. 

She found joy in life's simple pleasures and was especially fond of watching the Game Show Network, keeping her yard immaculate, collecting candles, and sharing stories with her family. Perhaps her greatest joy was spoiling her great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her granddaughters, Brandi Shepherd and husband, James, and Courtney Pevey; her grandsons, Lance Pevey and wife, Lisa, and Tyler Pevey; her great-grandchildren, Colton Shepherd, Katie Shepherd, Kaylee Rodriguez- Pevey, Brayden Chuka, Landon Pevey and Dakota Pevey; Great-great grandchild; Grayson Shepherd along with numerous extended family members and friends. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Dean and Roy Emett Liles; Daughters; Kristy Dominguez, Cherisa Pevey; Brothers Terry Liles, Bobby Dillashaw, and David Dillashaw. 

Carol will be remembered for her love of family, her stories, and the care she put into everything she did. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
