Cecilia V. (Villalovos) Rodriguez

Cecilia V. Rodriguez, 72, of Petersburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, July 26, 2023.  Cecilia was born on October 9, 1950, in Waelder, Gonzales County, Texas, to the late Paul Villalovos, Sr., and Victoria (Martinez) Villalovos.

She met Jesse Rodriguez, Sr., the love of her life, and they were united in marriage on April 16, 1967, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg.

Cecilia loved her grandchildren, spoiling them beyond belief, and was a true family person at heart.  She loved to play board games with her grandchildren, and she enjoyed online games.  Cecilia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include her husband, Jesse; her children: Michael Rodriguez of Ralls, Jesse Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife Amanda of Hereford and Tina Rodriguez of Abilene; two brothers: Felix Villalovos and his wife Melody of Houston and Paul Villalovos, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Houston; three sisters:  Beatrice Arriaga of Oklahoma, Andrea Gonzalez of Luling and Dolores Wilson of South Carolina; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Vince Villalovos.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6 PM on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg.  A Memorial Mass for Cecilia will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
