Chon Hernandez

Chon Hernandez of Iraan passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the age of 87.  He was born September 27, 1926 in Mexico to the late Victor and Magdalena (Barrientos) Hernandez.  Chon worked as a rancher in Iraan before retiring. He married Maria Garcia in 1954 and they were members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria; son, Roland Hernandez and wife Terri of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
