Chuck Alen Rankin, 56, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior early Monday morning, October 27, 2025. Chuck was born on February 4, 1969, in Lubbock, to the late Lester Glenn Rankin and Elisabeth (Ziegilin) Rankin.

He attended Lubbock public schools and graduated from Dunbar High School in 1987.

Chuck had the pleasure of meeting Melanie Fleming, the love of his life, and they were united in marriage on June 27, 2014, in Lubbock.

Chuck has worked in the landscaping business for more than 15 years, owning and operating Chuck’s Lawn Service in Lubbock, before retiring in 2014. He loved to work in the garden and spoiling his three granddaughters. He also enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music from all genres. He loved firearms, shooting and collecting them. He was a member of Trinity Church.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Melanie; one son, Tristin Rankin of Lubbock; one stepdaughter, Morgan McAdoo of Lubbock; two brothers: Herb Rankin of Lubbock and Jake Rankin of Amarillo; three sisters: Linda Thompson of Azle, Wilma Scot of Minco, OK and Glenda Rankin of Phoenix, AZ. He also leaves behind his dear granddaughters: Irie Rankin, Peyton Estrada and Azelee Rankin. Last but not least, he leaves his best friend behind, his fur baby named Chica, who is a Corgi and Chihuahua mix.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway in Lubbock, with Mr. Charles Spoon as the officiant.

The Rankin family would like to thank those who have shown their outpouring of love and support for them during this difficult time in their lives.
