Claudella Marie Line

Claudella "Marie" Scott Line (92) passed from this life July, 4, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. She was born August 8, 1929, to Claude Milton and Bessie Lee (Kropp) Scott, in Sweetwater, TX. Marie resided in Sweetwater, where she met the love of her life, Sig Line; they married September 1, 1950. Together, they had two children, Sig, Jr. and Michael. Marie enjoyed her time working as a legal secretary and a bank teller. Sig and Marie moved to Ruidoso, NM in the 90's and truly enjoyed all the time they spent with friends and family there. Later in life, Marie moved to Lubbock where she lived out the last 10 years of her life.

Marie was a member of the Church of Christ and was very passionate about salvation. She loved sitting next to family at church on Sunday mornings. Marie was very proud of her country and a STRONG supporter of the Republican party. She took pride in being a member of the DAR until she could no longer attend the meetings. She loved shopping, bargain hunting and recently found joy in collecting coins.

Those left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, Robin Line Peterson, and husband Eric of Rockwall; Carrie Line Pederson, and husband Bobby of Wylie; Tyler Line, and wife Courtney of Lubbock; and 5 great-grandchildren, Landrye Line, Callan and Elias Peterson, and Abel and Aiden Pederson. She will be greatly missed by many friends, including her caregiver of late, Nelda Turner. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sig; brother, JD Scott; and sons, Sig Jr. and Judge Mike Line.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock, Texas with Jim Brewer officiating.
