Claudia Sue Talley, a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was always set to music, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on February 23, 1947, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Ruth Carolyn Treadwell and Robert Phil Crenshaw, Claudia carried a melody in her heart from her earliest days. She graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas, in 1967.
A true passion for music defined her spirit. Claudia was a talented piano player and found immense joy in experiencing any musical event, whether it was a grand performance or a simple tune. Her faith was also a source of great comfort and community; she was a beloved member of Southcrest Baptist Church, where her voice helped fill the sanctuary as she sang in the choir.
For many years, Claudia poured her kind nature into her profession, serving as a dedicated caregiver for in-home patients. She provided comfort, companionship, and support to those who needed it most, a testament to her giving heart.
Claudia's greatest legacy is her loving family, a harmonious blend of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were the center of her world. She taught us from an early age the value of a relationship with Jesus. Her sense of humor & quick wit was unmatched.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Diana Rowten and her husband, Chris, and Amy Talley. She leaves behind her sister, Carol Beesinger, and her brothers, Larry Crenshaw and wife Donna, Randall Crenshaw and wife Dorcas, and Mark Crenshaw and wife Shannon. Claudia’s memory will live on through her cherished grandchildren: Alexia Williams and husband, Cayde; Morgan Biedrzycki and husband, Michael; Gavin Gomez and fiancée Jordan; Kylar Talley and wife, Hailee; and Brookelynn Pittman and husband, Thomas. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Crenshaw.
Her life was a song well-played, and though her final notes have sounded, the beautiful melody of her memory will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who loved her.
