Craig Eugene Cummings

Craig Eugene Cummings, 54, passed away April 14, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. He was born September 13, 1969, to Cecil Wayne and Doris Marie (Wartes) Cummings, in Fort Worth, TX. Craig graduated from Blue Bonnett High School in Fort Worth. He worked for Goodwill Industries. Craig enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech Red Raiders, the San Antonio Spurs, bowling, listening to music, and he really enjoyed family gatherings. Most of all, he beloved the Lord, was a Christian at heart, and a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church, Lubbock.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Cummings, his stepmother Joyce Cummings, his maternal grandparents, Carl and Vela Wartes, his paternal grandparents, Sam Cummings, Bovie Hambrick and Dean Hambrick. Those remaining to cherish his memories are his mother, Doris Cummings, sister, Shaila Jimenez, brother, Carl Cummings; nephews, Robert (Sandra) Christiansen, Derrick Cummings, Justin Cummings, Dustin Cummings, and Eric Williams; great-nephews, Jamal (Madalyn Nevarez) Overstreet, Tarenzic (Lexie Garcia) Overstreet, Jaden Overstreet, Dominick (Katelyn Salinas) Williams, Kasen Cuneo and Blaise Christiansen; his great-great nephews, J.D. Cummings, Kyngston Gutierrez, and Za’Mairion Overstreet; his nieces, Stephanie Williams and Melanie Christiansen; his great-nieces, Octavia Overstreet, Madison Williams, Makayla Williams, Brookelynn Williams, Allie Lopez, Abigail Christiansen, Kaylynn Cummings, Kynslee Cummings, and Harmoni Cuneo; his great-great nieces Kyneddie Overstreet, Remi Overstreet, Nevaeh Saunders, Zaelynn Gutierrez, Faith Cummings, Sara Cummings, and Alyssa Cummings; an aunt, Connie Mitchell and an uncle, Delbert Wartes; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
