Cristobal "Chris" Gonzales

Cristobal (Chris) Gonzales of Lubbock, Texas passed away on June 15, 2020, at the age of 61. He was born on May 23, 1959 in Grafton, North Dakota to Ramon and Elvira (Vela) Gonzales. Chris married Hilda Thomas in 1986 and lived in Dallas and San Antonio, but always considered Lubbock his home. Chris was devoted to his family and enjoyed dancing, spending time with his family and friends and going to the casinos. He took great pride in his vehicles. Chris was of the Catholic faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and 15 siblings. Chris is survived by his wife, Hilda; son, Cristobal Gonzales, Jr. of El Paso, daughters, Daisy Gonzales and Soledad Gonzales both of El Paso; sisters, Imelda Azuna and Irma Mendez; brothers, Leonard Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Luis Gonzales and Israel Gonzales; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 2pm until 7pm at the Venue on Broadway with a rosary being recited at 5:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10 AM at the Venue on Broadway with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow. All guests attending the visitation, rosary and services are required to wear masks.
