Cynthia Womack of Fate, formerly of Snyder passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the age of 69. She was born on October 30, 1956, in Lubbock to Don and Vonseth (Bertram) Adams. Growing up in Snyder, she graduated from Snyder High School and Western Texas College. On July 31, 1985, she married Barry Womack and they made their home in Fate, Texas, a town near Rockwall. For 22 remarkable years, she served as a Corporate Reimbursement Nurse at Foursquare Healthcare, a role in which she exhibited both expertise and empathy, building a reputation among colleagues who came to regard her not only as a consummate professional but also as a friend. Even after retirement, her zeal for caregiving led her to Waco Healthcare Rehabilitation, where she continued to bring comfort and skill until her final days.
Cynthia’s life was woven with many threads. She was deeply devoted to her family, shared an exceptional connection with her work family, fostering enduring friendships that brought joy and solace through life’s seasons. Her heart extended beyond humans to animals, reflecting her innate kindness and nurturing spirit.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Donna Ragland and husband Kelly of Lubbock, and Mikeal Adams and wife Andrea of Frisco; step-son, Colin Womack and wife Jennifer and their children Bryce and Caleb; and sister-in-law, Janet Lay and husband Tommy. Cynthia also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Courtney Distelhorst, Spencer Ragland, Maryssa Adams, Angie Patterson, Juli Springer, Todd Culwell and Beau Culwell; cousin, Shelly Fulgham; aunt, Dorothy Adams; and her special friend, Tim Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barry Womack, whom she lovingly survived by nearly nine years, having lost him on April 8, 2017; sister-in-law, Charlotte Culwell; and niece, Kelsey Ragland.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.
