Dara Ritchie

Dara Lynn Ritchie, 54, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2023. Dara passed peacefully in her home. Dara was born on April 2, 1968, in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico, to the late Daryl Davis and Frances (Wallace) Davis.

Dara graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1986. Dara graduated with Honors from Midwestern State University in 1990. Dara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Dara worked over 30 years as a nurse, starting at Bethania, then United Regional, in Wichita Falls. Dara worked the past 14 years at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Dara moved from Wichita Falls to Lubbock in 2008. She loved genealogy, her grandkids, reading, live music, listening to podcasts, and learning new things. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Ritchie and Erin Ritchie; one son, David Ritchie; two brothers, Brian Davis and Lyndal Davis; two grandchildren, Gracelynn Freed and Marshall Freed. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Melinda Alderson.

A funeral service honoring Ms. Ritchie will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2:00pm at Highland Baptist Church. Internment will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 2:00pm at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. Pastor Adam Pardue will be officiating.
