David Eugene Smith

David Eugene Smith of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the age of 65.  He was born on August 31, 1949 in Paulding, Ohio to Clare Eugene and Eunice H. (Rhoad) Smith. He was a Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War; David retired from the Air Force in 1991. After retiring he and his family moved to Lubbock in 1991. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kem; one daughter, Kathy Radle and husband Michael of Edmond, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ron Smith and wife Mary Ann of West Chester, Ohio and Jerry Smith and wife Sue Starret of Shaker Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren, Bradyn Daniel, Chloe Radle, Dean Radle and Eli A .; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

David was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Diane Daniel.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
