Della May Clark passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 98.
She was born on July 30, 1927, in Odessa, Texas, to Bernice Moore and Roy Jason Emmons.
On April 5, 1952, in Lovington, New Mexico, she married the love of her life, Clifton Loyd Clark. Their marriage began a beautiful journey together centered on faith, family, and devotion.
Della embraced her role as a wife, mother, and homemaker with great joy. She loved cooking and baking delicious meals for her family, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love. As her family grew, her grandchildren became the light of her life. She treasured every moment spent supporting and encouraging them.
Later in life, Della chose to continue growing and serving others by returning to school to earn her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree. She worked for six years with West Texas Home Health Agency, where she compassionately cared for her patients. To many, she was truly an angel.
Della was a woman of strong faith. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Tahoka for most of her life, and later in life at Southcrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlsie D. Tekell and husband Mark Tekell; her granddaughters, Lori Smith, Brooke Rhea, and Brandi Brookshire; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Nevels Memorial Cemetery in Tahoka, Texas.
The family extends special thanks to the caring staff of Vital Caring Hospice and Raider Ranch for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.
Della's life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and selfless service. We are deeply grateful for the many years we were blessed to share with her, and we celebrate the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
Memorial Donations can be made to Vital Caring Home Health and Southcrest Baptist Church.
