Dennis Northcott, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, departed this world on February 12, 2026, in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas. Born and raised in Lubbock, he transformed the lives of those around him with his unwavering kindness. Dennis was the “go to guy” for so many people. As a contractor he worked tirelessly transforming the Lubbock landscape, but his work didn’t stop there. Dennis spent his downtime helping friends and family with projects in their homes. There was no ask too great from an old friend or a stranger. He was always available at the drop of a hat, whether it be to fix something or to lend some good advice over a beer.
There was nothing Dennis loved more than his grandchildren and he delighted in hearing them laugh and play. It wasn’t uncommon to find him sipping coffee, listening to music and playing with his grandchildren in the backyard.
Dennis was not a man of many words but you knew he loved you through his actions.
In his absence, Dennis leaves behind his wife, Cathleen Northcott, his children, Patrick Northcott, Brandi Reeder, Brandon Northcott, Kristin Northcott and Alexa Northcott, his 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Northcott, Kathleen McCaslin, Richard Northcott, and Christine War.
As we reflect on Dennis's life, we remember a man who brought light into dark places, and a sense of belonging to everyone he encountered. Though he has departed this life, Dennis's legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. May we carry forward the lessons he taught us through his love, hard work, dedication to friends and family, and his unwavering support to all.
