Dilan Rangel-Bautista, a bright light in the lives of those who knew him, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the tender age of just one year and seventeen days. Born in Lubbock, Texas, on January 4, 2025, Dilan's time with us was brief, yet he filled every moment with love and laughter that will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends.
Dilan's little smile, which brought so much joy, will be sorely missed by his beloved parents, Jose Guadalupe Rangel and Cristina Bautista, who cherished every moment spent with their precious son. His spirited presence also touched the heart of his siblings; sister, Ximena Bautista, and brother Jose Miguel Rangel who embraced him with love and tenderness far beyond her years. Together, they shared countless moments of innocent joy, each giggle and coo adding to the happiness of their family.
He was surrounded by the nurturing love of his grandparents, Francisco Bautista, Ma Del Carmen Bautista, Leticia Acosta, and Jose Alfredo Rangel. Each of them knew the profound bond that a grandchild can bring and held Dilan close to their hearts. The warmth of their love and guidance provided a stable foundation upon which Dilan's brief life flourished.
Dilan's journey here may have been short, but it was impactful. The love that radiated from him and the connections he formed with his family are treasures that will be remembered forever. His spirit will live on in the love that binds his family together, as they navigate life with cherished memories of the time they had.
A funeral service to honor Dilan's life will take place on January 23, 2026, at Venue on Broadway in Lubbock, Texas, beginning at 10:00 AM. As family and friends gather to celebrate the essence of this beautiful child, the bonds of love will shimmer brightly amidst the sorrow, a testament to the joy he brought in his brief time with us.
Though Dilan’s presence has departed from this world, his spirit will undoubtedly remain, a gentle reminder of the love shared within his family. May he forever be cradled in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
