Dora Lee Mandrell Greenway, 78, of Shallowater, Texas, went to be at home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was welcomed home by Him on Wednesday August 28, 2013. She was born to Thomas Henry Mandrell and Ava Pearl Whitley, on October 1, 1934, in Garvin, Oklahoma.  Dora was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Velma Louise in 1949, and brothers: William Hezekiah in 1939, Vernon Ray in 1994 and Cecil Henry in 1995.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doyle Greenway and two sons: Darrell Wayne of Shallowater, Texas and Michael Doyle and his wife, Carol Ann of Benton, Arkansas. Two grandchildren: John Thomas Greenway and his wife Elaine of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Kimberly Ann and her husband Pat McGinnis of Fort Worth, Texas. Two great-grandchildren: Jonathon Adams of Fort Worth, Texas and Benjamin Isaac of Bella Vista, Arkansas.  She is also survived by her brothers: Archie Ben, Thomas Wayne and Robert Leo along with numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Tommy and his wife Milbra of Andrews, Texas and brother-in-law Gene and his wife June of Brownwood, Texas.  Beverly Greenway also survives her.

  Dora invited Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior and asked Him into her heart when she was 13 years old at the Plains Baptist Assembly in Floydada.  She was baptized at the Parkdale Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas.  When Dora was 17 years old she married Doyle in the Parkdale Baptist Church on February 2, 1952.  She worked for Lubbock Memorial Hospital and the Shallowater Super Market.  She had lived in the country between Hamlin and Rotan and also lived in Kermit, Lubbock and Shallowater. 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends 6:00-8:00 p.m.   Celebration Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Shallowater with interment to follow at Anton Cemetery.
