Doris Jean (Miller) Wilde, 74, passed away March 27, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. She was born March 21, 1952, to Frank Austin and Ocia B. (Jones) Miller, in Aubrey, TX. Doris graduated from Collinsville High School in 1970. She married Ken Wilde on August 5, 1971; to this union they had 3 sons, Robert, Forrest, and Phillip. Doris continued her education, earning her degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse; she gave 30+ years, dedicating her life to her career.
Doris was a loving mother and maw-maw to her kids and grandkids. She loved reading Christian books and singing hymns to her heavenly father. Doris loved these words, taken from a song by Randy Travis, “It’s not what you take, when you leave this world behind you, it’s what you leave behind when you go…”
The greatest love Doris had was for her Savior; she was a Christian at heart, of the Church of Christ faith, and a member of Sunset Church of Christ.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Wilde, her parents, Frank and Ocia B Miller, 2 brothers, Leon Miller and Cecil Miller, and a sister, Bertha Hodgkinson. Those remaining to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are, her sons, Forrest (Kelly) Wilde, Phillip (Anna) Wilde, and Robert Anderson, her grandkids, Cole (Megan) Anderson, Tanner (Jailyn) Wilde, Trenton Wilde, Treyven Wilde, Trace Wilde, Ryan (Kean) Pavino, Rynae Pavino, and Matthew Wilde; a sister, Sharon Miller, a brother-in-law Benton Hodgkinson, and many nieces and nephews.
