Eduardo "Edward" Pedro Martinez

Eduardo “Edward” Pedro Martinez, 22, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Houston. Edward was born on February 24, 1998 in Lubbock and was raised in Lubbock. He loved to play softball, jiu-jitsu, fishing, performing his music and rapping, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time with his children.

Edward is survived by his 2 children, Anayelee Kamille Martinez and Kairo Alijah Martinez, mother, Anita Flores, 2 brothers, Daniel and Alexandria Kongstvedt and Michael and Catherine Kongstvedt, nephews and nieces, Cyanne, Jaiden, Ariah, Donyvon, Hailey, and Mikey, girlfriend, Diana Alanis, and aunts and uncles, Armando and Ester Flores, Bobby and Thalia Flores, Pedro and Linda Flores, Jr., Petra and Robert Gonzales, Carmen and Johnny Anthony, Mary and Art Mosqueda, Connie and Manuel, Helen Alonzo, and Janie Flores. Edward was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pedro and Enriqueta Flores, Sr., uncles, Manuel and Angel Flores, aunt, Sylvia Flores, and cousins, Anthony Reyes and Rolando Flores.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, in Lubbock. Interment will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes in Lubbock.
