Ellaine Griffin

Ellaine Griffin, 60, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 in Lubbock.

Ellaine was born on April 3, 1962 in Big Spring, Texas to Ray Davidson and Iva Lee McBride Davidson.  She was raised in Big Spring and Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock Monterey High School.  She had work for University Medical Center, nursing homes, and at the Lubbock Avalanche Newspaper.  She was great at working on computers and some of her hobbies were beading art, making walking canes from wood, modeling clay, colleting rocks, knives, glasses, marbles, and a little bit of everything.  She loved to tinker on things so her sisters named her the “Divine Tinker”.  She enjoyed volunteering for Freedom in Jesus Prison Ministries.  She was a member of Glad Tidings Church in Lubbock.

Ellaine is survived by her 4 siblings, Jane Peterson, Yvonne Davidson, Diane Park, and Donna Miller, all of Lubbock, and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Viewing will be 2 – 4 pm on Wednesday, July 27th at Combest Family Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway, in Lubbock.  Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, July 28th at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Home.
