Erasmo G Flores

November 23, 1940 — June 2, 2026

Lubbock, Texas

Erasmo G. Flores was born on November 23, 1940, in Kenedy, Texas, and was called home on June 2, 2026.

Erasmo met the love of his life, Blanca, and they were married on February 9, 1963. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three wonderful children. Their marriage spanned more than 60 years and was filled with love, devotion, and faith. He affectionately called her “Blanquita,” and their love remains eternal.

Erasmo had a deep passion for music and was the lead singer for Irineo Torres y Los Huracanes del Valle. He loved singing and playing guitar for family and friends, sharing his gift of music with those he loved most. A hardworking farmer, he took great pride in providing for his family through years of dedication and perseverance.

Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Erasmo enjoyed telling stories about his childhood and life experiences. His family was the center of his world. He was a devoted member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived his faith through service, love, and commitment to his family.

In his spare time, Erasmo enjoyed classic cars—especially his prized 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air—old western movies, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, captivated by silent cooking shows and nature documentaries while spending time with his rescue animals. Above all, his greatest joy was being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Erasmo is survived by his adored children, Javier Flores; Ruth Peterson (Mike); and Monica Carolina Davis (Vince); his cherished siblings, Abelia Vasquez, Aisor Flores, and Elisa Castillo; and his treasured grandchildren, Yvette Bradford (Kerry), Atiana Danielle Adame, Harlow Raine Davis, Angélica Renee Camacho, and Noemi Amber Flores, along with his great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Blanca Diana Flores; his parents, Eliseo and Manuela Flores; and his siblings, Gomecindo Flores, Florinda López, Israel Flores, Pedro Flores, Alberto Flores, José Flores, and Gertrudis Shoemaker.

Erasmo’s legacy of faith, hard work, music, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
