Ethel Beard Aniello, born March 15, 1927 passed away Monday, January 28, 2019.  She worked for the State of Connecticut for many years before moving to Lubbock in 1990 with husband John, who passed away in 1993.  She is also preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Harold Beard, Sr. and brothers, Bobby, Harold and Fred Beard.

 

Leaving behind her son, Jon and partner Thyme MaKenna of Tennessee and daughter, Carol Bilbrey of Lubbock; grandsons and wives, Steff, D.J., and Tony Bilbrey of Lubbock; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Luella Wasil and Janice Higley and brother Richard and wife Stephanie Beard, all of Connecticut; sisters-in-law, JoJo, Arline and Antoinette Aniello; and a numerous amount of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.

 

Ethel’s passion was quilting with her friends at Canyon Methodist Church in Lubbock.  She also volunteered for many years at the South Plains Food Bank and UMC Hospital.  She did crochet, knitted afghans, tried pottery for a while and baked up a storm.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Methodist Canyon Church, and in Connecticut per her wishes.
