Evelyne Avent

Evelyne Lorraine Avent, 68, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Lubbock.  She was born November 17, 1954, in Lubbock to Lomas and Sheila Freeman and had lived in Lubbock all her life.  She married Jon Avent on February 14, 1990.  She was owner-operator of Twistavants Scented Candles from 1990 until 2013.  She was an advocate for animal rights, causes and rescue efforts.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Avent; grandson, Michael Wooton; two great-granddaughters, Avery and Allison Wooton; and one great-grandson, Miles Wooton

Her memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401.

The family has requested donations to South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, 9411 Indiana Ave., Lubbock, TX  79423.
