Frances Petty, 89, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Lubbock.

Frances was born on August 23, 1932 in Amherst, Texas to Morgan Daniel Walden and Lucinda Ruth Browning.  She has lived in Lubbock most of her life, and she married Floyd Lee Petty, Sr. on May 10, 1947 in Lubbock.  They worked together, where she was the secretary and bookkeeper.  She will be remembered for being a great “Mom” and was a firm believer in the Gospel and faithful member of Rock City Church in Lubbock.  Her husband preceded her in death on

Frances is survived by her son, Kevin Petty and wife, Renee, of Lubbock, two daughter in laws, Shirley Petty of Buffalo Springs Lake and Jerri Grisham of Littlefield, 8 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Sr., on February 9, 2020, her parents, sons, Floyd Petty Jr. and Mike Petty, siblings, Doris Dunn, Buddy Walden, Johnny Walden, and Tommy Walden.

Family directed memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Rock City Church Event Center, 5911 4th Street, in Lubbock with Pastor Jeff McCreight officiating.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lubbock.
