Frankie Lee Whitley

Frankie Lee Whitley of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the age of 88.  She was born October 15, 1924 in Red Springs, Texas to Jewel and Myrtle (Shoopman) Knight.  Minnie married Tommy Whitley and they made their home in Ft. Worth.  She was active in the First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for 23 years. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa Lane of Lubbock, Shelia Standlee of Mansfield and Gary Whitley and wife Leticia of Ft. Worth.  Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Vera Cemetery in Vera, Texas.
