Franklin Lewis Hinson, Jr., 60, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday evening, November 21, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1965, in Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey, to Franklin Lewis Hinson, Sr., and the late Mary B. (Hunter) Hinson.
Franklin attended Vineland High School, in Vineland, New Jersey.
He met the love of his life, Christina Kirk, and they were united in marriage on May 24, 2005, in Millville, New Jersey.
He loved sports, especially football and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was very athletic, enjoyed swimming, and at some point, he became involved in the martial arts. He worked as a former body shop repairman and then for BASF. He was raised in the Baptist faith.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Christina “KiKi” Hinson of Lubbock; one son, Daegan Hinson of Lubbock; two daughters: Sierra Johnson-Hinson of Lubbock and Ecko-Maya Hinson; four brothers: John Francis Hinson (Wanda) of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Bryant Hinson of El Paso, Curtis Smith of North Jersey, NJ, Billy Smith of Mays Landing, NY; one sister, Alicia Hinson-Williams (David) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and his father, Franklin Lewis Hinson, Sr. of Philadelphia. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary B (Hunter) Hinson.
