Gabriel Torres

Gabriel Jose Torres, 32, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 in Lubbock.

Gabriel was born and raised in Lubbock on September 29, 1989 to Felipe M. Torres and Magdalena Cisneros Torres. Some people knew him as Gabriel, “G”, or Turtle but everyone knew him for his contagious laugh, sense of humor, free spirit, and especially his dimples. He loved Monte Carlo’s, jamming the air and bass guitar, going to the lake, trips to the park with his girlfriend, car shows, having his friends over, playing dice, and his pitbull Nino. Ever since Gabriel was a little boy he loved watching animals and would make his dad rent him National Geographic movies from Blockbuster. He also had a sweet tooth and would often split a bag of skittles with his best friend. He was Catholic, and he loved his friends and family dearly. His little girl Nataleigh was his heart. They shared sweet memories together like making s’mores in the garage and going to buy pickle snow cones. His son Zachary was his mini me. They enjoyed watching movies and hog hunting trips together. Gabriel was very loving and affectionate. He always made sure everyone around him felt loved. He was very close to his siblings and nieces and talked to them almost everyday. He loved his mom and dad with all his heart and spent his last days with them.

Gabriel is survived by his parents, Felipe and Magdalena Torres, 2 children, Nataleigh Torres and Zachary Rincon, sister, Amanda Cisneros and husband, Joe Melendrez, brother, Adrian Torres of Keller, and girlfriend, Amy Morin.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother, Phillip.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, in Lubbock.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes & Crematory.
