Gary Boaz

Gary Wayne Boaz, 61, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born November 27, 1961, to William Asa Boaz and Jean (Monk) Boaz in Groom, Texas.

Gary loved the special Olympics and was involved in many different sports including basketball, track, bowling, and playing pool. He won a gold medal in April of this year. Gary was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and he dreamed of attending a game. Gary had a bucket list and was able to check off going to the rodeo. He loved life, his girlfriend, and his family deeply and he will truly be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Jody; five brothers, David Boaz, Danny Boaz, Ronnie Boaz, Ricky Boaz and Asa Boaz; sister, Linda Davis; and 18 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Boaz.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at One Accord Fellowship, 6002 60th (60th and Ave U.)
