Glen Burleson Brewer, 92, of Lubbock and former longtime resident of O’Donnell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Burley was born on March 9, 1933, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Henry Burleson Brewer and Elsie Lee (Blessing) Brewer.
He attended O’Donnell schools and graduated with his senior class. Following high school, he attended Texas Tech Technical Institute, currently Texas Tech University. After attending Tech for a short time, Burley joined the United States Navy on August 15, 1951, serving during the Korean Conflict and was discharged on August 14, 1959.

Burley was a dedicated cotton farmer for over 50 years in Lynn County, before retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM #1187 for over 70 years achieving the title of Master Mason, and a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church in O’Donnell. During their entire lifetime, Burley & Bertha were partners in farming, chemical and fertilizer distribution. They both loved to travel and went on many trips with friends. A special place was their cabin in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
