Tahoka

The family of Glenn “Bonzo” Anderson will host a gathering of family and friends from 10-12pm on February 24, 2023. Funeral services will follow visitation starting at 12 pm, with burial at Nevels Cemetery in Tahoka, Tx. Funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church in Tahoka, TX with Rev. Charles Jones officiating.

Bonzo entered eternal life, in Tahoka on Monday, February 20, 2023. Glenn Earl Anderson was born June 4, 1937, to Clarence and Geneva Anderson in Bernalillo, NM. Glenn graduated from Tahoka High School in 1956. He enlisted in the Navy in 1958 where he served a 4-year term. He married Wanda (Jones) Anderson on February 17, 1962.

Glenn was a long-time resident of Tahoka, where he went to work at Lyntegar Electric Cooperative in 1966 and retired after working 50 years. Glenn, also known to many as Bonzo, enjoyed playing cards and bingo with friends in his younger years. Bonzo was awarded The Unsung Hero Award while working for Lyntegar and had the underground training short school in Levelland, Texas named after him.

Bonzo is survived by his wife, Wanda Anderson, son Keith Anderson and wife Pam of Tahoka, daughter in love Mary Angel Bertreaux of Tahoka; Granddaughters, Whitlee Williams and husband Cory of Tahoka, Ashlee Coker and husband Nick of Lubbock, Amanda Anderson and boyfriend Julian of Odessa; Grandson, Trenton Anderson of Tahoka; 4 Great Grand kids, Brody, Averee, Aubree and Jaylen; as well as numerous friends and family.

Bonzo is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Geneva, 2 brothers, Leon and Gary Anderson, and his daughter Janet Lynn Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Pug Paris, Justin Harvey, Joby Long, Frank Aleman, Chuck Tipton, and Johnny Morin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Collins, Jerry Isabell, and Frank Saldana.
