Gloria Hyslop

Gloria Hyslop (Newman), 93, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1930, in Lakewood, New Jersey. She married her husband Gordon Hyslop on August 17, 1957, at The Chapel of Warren Methodist Church in Denver, Colorado.

Gloria enjoyed sewing, knitting, swimming, singing, and skiing. She also loved painting, and baking pies and homemade bread for her husband and three children. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many businesses over the years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ian Hyslop; two daughters, Andrea Smith and Valerie Parkinson; along with many loved family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, husband Gordon Hyslop, brother Bill Newman; sisters, Connie DeBow and Joan Brandt.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Lubbock.
