Hollis Neil Wolfenbarger (82) passed away September 13, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on November 23, 1942, to Doyle Junion and Vera Fern (Clements) Wolfenbarger in Gorman, TX. Hollis graduated from Sundown High School, in Sundown, TX.
Hollis served his country, entering the United States Army, where he rose to the rank of E-5. He married Wanda Anderson in 1964. Later, he started and was the president of Banta Oilfield Service.
Hollis was deeply loved by his family and his friends; but his deepest love was Jesus. Hollis will be missed dearly. During his final days, he repeatedly told his family, “Golly, what a wonderful family.”
Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Vera. Those remaining to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are, his wife, Wanda Wolfenbarger, his sons, Jimmy and Johnny, granddaughters, Natasha (Corbin), Jordon (John), and great-granddaughter, Audrey Hollis (named after her great-grandfather); and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Hollis Neil Wolfenbarger will honor and celebrate his life with a memorial gathering (to include snacks and fellowship) at 1:00PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the front office of Westfork Mobile Home Park, 2802 North Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, TX.
