Horace "Hoss" Lawler

Horace “Hoss” G. Lawler was born July 2, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Homer Lawler and Eula Faye (Richardson) Lawler. He passed away January 2, 2023, after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

Hoss loved sports and played football, basketball, and track at Monterey High School, graduating in 1966. He then earner his Bachelor of Business degree from Texas Tech University in 1970. He was an avid Red Raider and Dallas Cowboy fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Lawrence, a sister Deena Faye Jett, two nephews, and two nieces.

Surviving Hoss are three children; six grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Gray (Roger); two aunts, Willie Lampp and Nancy Phillips; one uncle, Elton Richardson (Kaye); and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Lubbock or to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service to honor Mr. Lawler will be held on Thursday, January 12, at 11:00am at the Crosbyton Cemetery on Crosbyton, Texas.
